3/25/09 - Prayer
The Lord's Prayer (NKJV):
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and thepower and the glory forever. Amen

Deuteronomy 5:1-21
The first 4 commandments are You and God. The second 6 are You and everyone else.
- You shall have no other Gods before me.
- You shall not make for yourselves idols, nor bow down to them or worship them.
- Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
- Keep the Sabbath day Holy.
- Honor your father and mother.
- You shall not commit murder.
- You shall not commit Adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not lie.
- You shall not covet your neighbor's things.
Going further:
Deuteronomy 6:5 commands all Israel to "love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." In each of the synoptic Gospels, Jesus upholds this as the greatest commandment (Mat 22:38, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27), and goes one step further commanding "you shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Mat 22:39).
