Awana
AWANA meets every Wednesday!
AWANA® is a club to reach boys, girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ. The acronym AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." (2 Timothy 2:15) AWANA Club® meets Wednesday evenings, September through May, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (excluding school holidays). The club is staffed by adult leaders and helpers. All children, from preschool through 6th grade, are invited to attend. Parents are welcome. You don't need to be a member of Union Baptist Church to participate.
A typical Wednesday evening begins at 5:50 PM, by enjoying a family dinner prepared by a dedicated ministry team. AWANA Club® begins promptly at 6:30 PM. Everyone participates in the Opening Ceremony and Song Time. The children rotate by age to Handbook Time, Council Time, and Game Time. Each segment is age appropriate. Every child has the opportunity to memorize verses, listen to Bible Stories, earn awards, play games, and become involved in mission projects.
Please accept our invitation to come see what AWANA Club® is all about.
